The Burnaby RCMP are looking for four men who broke into two Metrotown jewelry stores early Friday morning.
According to Cpl. Rick Skolrood of the Burnaby RCMP, police responded to the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping centre just after 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 14.
When police arrived, they discovered two jewelry stores had been broken into and an undetermined number of valuable items had been stolen.
When the police looked at the mall's surveillance video, they saw a stolen car ramming through the north side doors of the shopping centre and then proceeding to the two jewelry stores.
"The car then rammed in the sliding doors of one store and then through the other," said Skolrood. "Four males, all wearing disguises and carrying crowbars, then split up and went into the stores, taking the most expensive items."
The four men then got back into the stolen car and drove out of the shopping centre.
Police recovered the stolen car at Royal Oak Avenue and Buxton Street a short time later.
Police are looking for the public's help if they know anything about this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
