The weather was perfect for ABC Recycling's 100th birthday party celebrations in the Big Bend area of South Burnaby recently.

The Family Fun Day party featured families bringing in their scrap meal - everything from pipes to a car to the proverbial kitchen sink - with all proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

The day was also highlighted by kids activities, a Jaws of Life demonstration by Burnaby firefighters and tours of the ABC facility. NOW photographer Jason Lang was on hand to catch some of the fun.
