WHAT’S UP?

Burnaby Family Life is hosting its sixth annual Kids’ Challenge on Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Morley Elementary School, 7355 Morley St.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

It’s a full day of fun activities and entertainment for all, with door prizes, food and raffle tickets up for sale.

The event is organized in a carnival-type setting that allows kids to participate in a variety of activities including games, an agility course, nutrition and health education, yoga, and many other interactive events.

It’s free, and open to kids of all ages – most of the activities will be geared towards kids aged three to 12.

WHAT’S IT ALL FOR?

Money raised from the event will help Burnaby Family Life increase hours for counsellors working with disadvantaged children who have experienced challenges such as family violence, lack of extended family support and English language challenges.

“Last year’s event surpassed our expectations, and since then, there has been a growing momentum to help more children and families in need,” Burnaby Family Life says in a write-up about the event.
