St. Nick will be in the Grand Court (lower level) on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. On Sunday, he’s there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m. (November hours). Photos with Santa are by donation (minimum $3 per picture), with all proceeds going to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Pictures will be available digitally.

Bonsor’s annual mix-and-match doubles badminton tournament is set for Sunday, Nov. 19. All participants register as an individual and do not need a partner. Head to Maywood Community School (4567 Imperial St.) on Saturday, Nov. 18 for a giant flea market. There will be lots of bargains as well as door prizes and a concession. Items for sale include books and jewelry. The event is on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and admission is 50 cents.

Start your holiday shopping early this weekend by checking out the St. Helen’s Christmas craft fair. On Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., enjoy homemade baking, lunch and dinner, raffles and more. It’s all happening at 3871 Pandora St. The craft fair also runs on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take your knitting needles to the Tommy Douglas library (7311 Kingsway) on Saturday, Nov. 18 for Knit2gether. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to come and work on their knitting. The gathering is a drop-in format, so come anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
