Canadian Blood Services held a donation clinic at Burnaby North Secondary on the Easter long weekend. Only 73 people showed up, which left them 21 short of their 94-donor target.

"It's very normal for a long weekend," said Angela Poon from Canadian Blood Services. "By no means is this any reflection of having a low inventory or low blood base. It just means we have to work that much harder to make up for it in the days and weeks following. Our inventory is still strong."

However, Canadian Blood Services is always looking for more donors.

Call 1-888-236-6283 or visit www.blood. ca for more information or to book an appointment to donate.
