Calling photographers: The City of New Westminster is seeking submissions for its Naturally New West photography contest, with winner to be featured on four digital billboards in the city. Artists must live or work in New Westminster, but there are no age or submission limits. Open to new, emerging and professional artists. Performers called to audition for the Nikkei Matsuri Star Search, a talent contest happening on connection with the annual Nikkei Matsuri festival running Sept. 2 and 3 at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre.
