Worlds of Wonder, featuring metal sculpture by Lynne Talkor Fahnestalk and digital art by Nancie Green, opened at the gallery on Saturday, Nov. 4 and continues until Dec. 9.

Fahnestalk’s metal sculpture work has its roots in her works as a professional illustrator and cartoonist, which led to her obsession with robots. She started making robot sculptures from upcycled metal objects, with no welding or gluing – everything is held together with nuts, bolts, screws and washers.

Green, meanwhile, merges her work as artist and technician in digital photography and computer manipulation of photos. She has created endless artworks featuring robots and other otherworldly imagery.

The gallery, at 6584 Deer Lake Ave., is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Call 604-298-7322 or see www.burnabyartscouncil.org for more information.
