Brown is a military police officer in the Army Reserve who has been in Afghanistan since May 9, 2011 and returns March 7. She works with coalition forces and the international policing community as part of the police training mission, to help the Afghans re-establish policing within their communities.

Sunny skies: Alex Hui and Eva Li took their Burnaby NOW on vacation to Mexico. Here, they're on the penthouse balcony of the Great Parnassus All Inclusive Spa and Resort. They were in Cancun celebrating Alex's 60th birthday, along with their seven-year-old son Harrison Hui.
Family fun: Harrison Hui, 7, and dad Alex Hui took their Burnaby NOW to Cancun, Mexico, where they travelled with mom Eva Li to celebrate Alex's 60th birthday. They stayed at the Great Parnassus Hotel Resort. Here, they're spending time at the silky white beach.
Aloha: Allison and Samantha Gault took their Burnaby NOW along on a family vacation in January, traveling to Kaanapali Beach in Maui, Hawaii.
Sunshine getaway: Four Burnaby families took a trip together to the Mayan Riviera in December 2011 - the children are all friends from Armstrong Elementary, Seaforth Elementary and Cariboo Secondary. Pictured here with their NOW are (top, left to right) Damon, Shivam and Lucas and (front, left to right) Priya, Kristen, Maya and Nelly.
