The team went three for four to advance to the semi-finals, where they faced the Vancouver team, ultimately falling 1-11 in the semi-final game. Burnaby's MVPs were Chase Scobie, Luke Chateauneuf, Kynan Wright, Mike Herridge and Jason Huang.

On the court: The U15 girls Suns team - made up of Burnaby residens Nikko Sahagun and Leilani Carney, New Westminster resident Laurette Ticong, and Dyniel Rabang - shone during Basketball B.C.'s 'Step Up Your Game' 3-on-3 tournament in Richmond recently. The Suns were unbeaten in the tournament going 6 and 0 as they defeated all teams, led by eventual tournamenet MVP Sahagun. In the final, the Suns took on team DŽjˆ vu, emerging victorious with a final score of 8 to 5.
Tops: The Burnaby bantam girls lacrosse team won its first provincial lacrosse title last week in Port Coquitlam, beating Coquitlam 6-5 in overtime in the gold medal final.
Play on: A group of boys from New Westminster took part in the Play On ball hockey tournament held recently at Metropolis at Metrotown. The boys played three games on Saturday and then competed in three one-game elimination playoff games on Sunday, and placed second out of 13 teams in their division.
