Gas price hikes on the Friday before a long weekend likely has Burnaby motorists experiencing déjà vu.
GasBuddy.com's latest report shows the cheapest price in the city set at $1.66 per litre at Smart Gas along Canada Way ahead of the Family Day weekend in B.C. (see list below).
That's an uptick of three cents compared to $1.63 per litre at the same station last Friday, Feb. 9.
It's also the second least expensive price for fuel in Metro Vancouver behind $1.64 per litre at three different stops in Pitt Meadows, Langley and Aldergrove, as of this publication, Feb. 16.
Burnaby's Super Save Gas on Kingsway recorded the largest known weekly drop at local pumps — three cents to $1.67 per litre.
Three cents was also the difference in the city's average gas price at $1.70 per litre from $1.67 last week.
Prince George, meanwhile, hosts B.C.'s top three cheapest gas stations at the moment.
GasBuddy.com says the $1.44 per litre price tag remains unchanged from last week at Super Save Gas on Victoria Street.
