Police are on the hunt for a gunman after a house in a quiet family residential area was riddled with bullets Monday night during daylight hours.

The occupants of the large single-family home in Hamilton, which was targeted in the drive-by shooting, are known to the RCMP.

No one was injured in the incident on Wilson Court around 8:30 p.m., although bullet holes could be seen on the front wall of the residence and on the garage door.

The suspects had fled the scene prior to police arriving. Richmond RCMP said it’s too early to tell if the shooting was gang-related.

They added that they have no clear idea of why the shots were fired and have no suspects in mind.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212. If you want to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
