Wine, food and music - What more could you ask for? Don't miss the annual Rotary fundraiser on Saturday, June 9 from 7:30 to 10 p.m at Lougheed Town Centre. The Rotary Wine, Food and Music Festival is one of the biggest local fundraising events of the year, and people come out in throngs to support the cause.

There will be 17 wine sponsors presenting their wares, seven food sponsors and the local Simon Fraser University Chamber Orchestra as musical entertainment. Money raised goes to B.C. literacy programs, the Down Syndrome Research Foundation and worldwide efforts to eradicate polio. Tickets are $40 and are available at the Lougheed Town Centre customer service desk and through any Burnaby Metrotown Rotary member. Buy 10 or more tickets, and each ticket will cost $35.The Burnaby Metrotown Rotary Club and Lougheed are partnering to hold the event. The Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown meets every Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express Metrotown, 4405 Central Blvd.
