City staff are working with Shape Properties on a master plan for the town centre.

The plan will include public input given at a two open houses for the preliminary concepts and the draft concept plan, according to a city staff report.

Shape is also applying to have two portions of 9855 Austin Rd. rezoned for the new development, with guidance from city staff.

The plan includes seven “character precincts” and five large public spaces, according to a recent city staff report.

The development is planned to include a total of 12.2 million square feet of residential floor space and 14.9 million square feet of retail, commercial, office and entertainment space.
