The Canadian Power and Sail Squadron, a non-profit organization that strives to promote safe and environmentally friendly boating, is helping out at the Burnaby Christmas Bureau this year. The squadron has been volunteering for years and is helping set up and also escorting the families through the bureau's toy room on Kingsway.
"The holidays are a time to give back, it means so much to the families and also the seniors," said Stephen D'Souza, executive director of Burnaby Community Services.
The Burnaby Christmas Bureau helps low-income families by providing toys that the parents can pick out to give to their kids for Christmas.
