Trees and fences appear to have been mowed down by a vehicle at three properties along Canada Way, according to Burnaby resident Pat Scott.

"It's very awful looking," she said. "It looks like something rammed through these two-and-a-half properties."

Scott said she noticed the damage three weeks ago.

"It's bizarre," she said. "It looks like someone did it on purpose."

Scott, who lives nearby and walks up Canada Way frequently, said she is curious about what happened to cause the damage and also wonders why it hasn't been cleaned up yet.

Dipak Dattani, assistant director of engineering for the City of Burnaby, said city staff was unaware of the damage.

Burnaby RCMP did not respond to the NOW's request for information about any accidents in the area before press time.

The NOW left phone messages at the listed numbers for two of the residences but did not receive any response.
