Re: Reader wrong on shark fin ban, Letter to the editor, Burnaby NOW, July 18.

I would like to applaud and extend my thanks to Anthony Marr for his eloquent, accurate and educational letter in response to Mr. Ho's letter to the editor opposing a shark fin ban.

Mr. Ho is definitely entitled to disagree with those who are trying to ban the barbaric killing of sharks for their fins.

He is absolutely entitled to his bowl of shark fin soup while it's available.

However, if Mr. Ho is going to make his controversial opinion a public one, then he should do so with facts, not assumptions.
