Deck the Heights features several family-friendly attractions, including the opportunity to meet Jolly St. Nick himself during his Merry Stroll as he walks through Burnaby Heights, spreading holiday joy and making personal visits to numerous businesses along the way.

This year’s Window Decorating Contest will bring the neighbourhood to life with twinkling holiday lights. The contest, which kicks off the same day as Santa’s stroll, is a much-anticipated highlight where participating businesses along Burnaby Heights transform their windows into captivating holiday-themed displays.

Competing for ‘Best Holiday Window Display’ and ‘People’s Choice’ titles, these businesses will showcase their creativity and holiday spirit. This contest, co-sponsored by Burnaby Now, adds a friendly competitive edge to the festivities, encouraging participating businesses to put forth their most imaginative and festive displays.

Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite window displays to select the winner. This interactive element not only fosters a sense of community but also gives participants a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to their preferred Burnaby Heights business, with decorations expected to remain until December 24 or beyond to illuminate the neighbourhood and create a cozy yet picturesque holiday setting.
