Simon Fraser University won its first official home stand as a full member in women's basketball in NCAA Division II.

The Clan swept Cal State Stanislaus in back-to-back games this weekend, winning 95-52 on Friday before taking the second game 76-46 the following night in Burnaby.

Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe posted her fourth and fifth double-double in just seven games to date to lead the Clan.

Raincock-Ekunwe led all scorers in the opening matchup, scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds, including 18 of those points and 11 boards coming in the first half of play.

The conference preseason pick for player of the year, added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the Saturday night win over Stanislaus.

"We wanted to come out strong. Last weekend was a bit shaky, so it was good to play well tonight," said Raincock-Ekunwe in an SFU press release.

On Friday, Erin Chambers chipped in with 20 points in 20 minutes of floor time.

SFU, last week's Great Northwest team of the week, also capitalized on the opposition errors, outscoring Stanislaus 33-5 off turnovers. The Clan bench also did its job, outscoring the Warriors 36-13.

New Westminster guard Kia Van Laare finished the game with 11 of her 16 points in the second half.

On Saturday, SFU improved its record to 6-1 thanks in part to some big defensive numbers from Rebecca Langmead, who posted a game-high seven blocks along with 10 rebounds and eight points.

The Clan hosts its Great Northwest conference league opener on Thursday against Saint Martin's University in the West Gym. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
