The Burnaby Canoe and Kayak Club won its first Pacific Cup in recent years.

The Burnaby Lake crew, consisting of paddlers 10-years-old and up, combined for the aggregate team trophy at the Pac Cup meet in Maple Ridge Sept. 30.

The regatta consisted of one, pairs and four-person kayaks and canoes, as well as the 16-person war canoe.

Teams from Gig Harbour, Washington, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Victoria, Nanaimo and Kamloops, as well as the host club also took part. For more information on paddling sports look up the club's website at www.burnabylake.com.
