The Burnaby Lakers intermediate B lacrosse team finished in a tie for second place behind league and playoff champion Port Moody Thunder this year.

The Lakers finished the season with five players in the among the scoring leaders, including overall scoring champion Aidan Milburn, Lynden Book, team captain Adam Flynn Brandon Bourdages and Mike Bitzer.

Milburn led the league with 95 points, including 59 goals, 15 points ahead of the next best scorer. He was also named to the league all-star team.

Robbie Hall, who at times seemed to stand on his head to block shots, was a top-three goalie in the league. Hall posted an 88.13 save percentage, while allowing an average of just 5.07 goals per game.

Coach Dan Simpson said, "It was a very fun season with this group of players. We did not make provincials as we had hoped, but that does not take anything away from what this group accomplished. I am proud of the way this team played, never gave up and always stuck together in wins and losses."
