The Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League signed former Simon Fraser University defensive back Adam Berger.

Berger was selected by Calgary in fourth round, 30th overall, in the 2012 CFL Canadian draft.

Last season, Berger recorded 48.5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one blocked kick.

He also took the field as a kicker at times for the Clan, kicking 12 converts and one field goal.

Berger played three seasons at SFU and recorded a total of 87 tackles, 60 assisted tackles and eight interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns.

His Clan career also included 10.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, three recovered fumbles, two forced fumbles and one blocked kick.

The Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School graduate played quarterback in high school where he was named player of the year in 2007.
