VANCOUVER — Italy beat Sweden 4-0 on Friday to finish seventh in the eight-team Paralympic sledge hockey competition at UBC Thunderbird Arena.

Florian Planker scored twice for the Italians, with Werner Winkler and Andrew Chiarotti adding a goal each.

Santino Stillitano stopped 13 shots for the shutout.

Czech Republic and Korea faceoff at 3:30 p.m. for fifth place, with Canada playing Norway at 7 p.m. for bronze.

The gold-medal game between the United States and Japan is at noon on Saturday.
