The Toronto Blue Jays’ Winter Caravan paid a visit to Burnaby’s Gilmore Community School last week, helping turn the focus to splring.

The annual tour typically includes a school visit as well as media events. This year, Gilmore was the site as players and Toronto's mascot met the students and answered questions last Friday.

Sportsnet’s Jamie Campbell introduced the four members of the MLB roster: all-star first baseman Justin Smoak, pitchers Aaron Sanchez and Marco Estrada, and native Canadian and outfield prospect Dalton Pompey. The players presented Gilmore principal Dennis Taylor with a jersey as well as baseball equipment for use at the school.
