Simon Fraser University's Meg Wilson was one of the players named by Canada Basketball to the roster of the senior B women’s national team for the 36th William Jones International Basketball Tournament in Taipei, Taiwan.

Head coach Fabian McKenzie will be leading the team through the tournament, where Team Canada will look to gain experience against quality opponents.

"We are looking forward to our trip to Taipei to represent Canada Basketball in the Jones Cup. Our team has put in a tremendous amount of work throughout training camp and is ready to put what they have learned into action. I have been very impressed with the performance of our group and I am excited to see them play,” said McKenzie in a press release.

Canada will play five games in the tournament, which began Wednesday and finishes up this Sunday. Canada's B team was scheduled to play Chinese Taipai-B before match-ups against Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipai-A and closing against the United States.

Wilson finished up her sophomore season with the Clan last season, a season in which she played in all 30 games and averaged 7.2 points per game.

She also led the team in field goal percentage at 0.612 and in rebounds with 7.6 per game which was good enough for sixth in the NCAA Division II Great Northwest conference.
