Simon Fraser University Clan women's wrestling alumna Danielle Lappage is a world university champion.

Lappage is a criminology graduate at SFU and is currently enrolled in the masters program.
The Clan grad was a four-time finalist and three-time champion in the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association during her collegiate career with SFU and was named co-female athlete of the year at SFU as a senior.
The Alberta native is also a two-time Canadian senior champion and won a Junior world title in 2011.
Lappage will represent Canada at the Commonwealth Games next week, while recent Clan graduate Justina DiStasio will compete at the Pan American championships this weekend.

All three wrestlers will be representing Canada at the Junior Worlds held in Zagreb, Croatia from Aug, 5 to 10.
