Artists' guild holds show

The Burnaby Artists' Guild is offering up its artistic take on people and places. The People and Places exhibition and sale takes place at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts from Oct. 28 to 30.

The Burnaby Artists' Guild is offering up its artistic take on people and places.

The People and Places exhibition and sale takes place at Shadbolt Centre for the Arts from Oct. 28 to 30.

The show features artist Hazel King, one of the founding members of the artists' guild.

Her work will be displayed alongside that of many guild artists, showcasing work in a variety of styles and media.

Artists will be on hand, and they'll be offering demonstrations of their work.

The show will include a raffle for an original painting, as well as a sale of art cards and magnets.

Admission and parking are free.

The show is open Friday from 7 to 10 p.m., with opening ceremonies at 7: 30 p.m., and it runs all weekend - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
