Why are you running?
I want to continue to be a part of making a better community and to help ensure that today’s learners have as positive an experience in Burnaby’s public schools as I did when growing up in our City. In having now served four terms as a School Trustee, including serving as Chair and Vice-Chair, I believe that having my experience is important as we work through the changes and challenges facing public education in the years to come.
Top three issues you want to work on:
- Ensure fiscal responsibility in challenging times
- Continue to advocate for more student choice to create passionate learners
- Build even more avenues of communication with parents and let them know that their ideas are important
