'I screamed!': Vancouver pair win $100,000 on Scratch & Win ticket

Imagine winning $100,000 from a Scratch & Win lottery ticket?

Two Vancouver residents don't have to imagine the feeling after they scored $100,000 from a Pac Man Slots Scratch & Win ticket. 

Vancouverties Pearl Davey and Robert Robertson say they couldn't help screaming upon realizing they'd won. They purchased the ticket from Jong Wah convenience store on East Pender Street and were still inside when they checked their ticket on the self-checker.

“I screamed,” said Davey. “Doreen was yelling ‘I won $1000, I won $10,000, I won $100,000!’ I was like ‘yeah right!’”

Davey and Robertson shared their shocking news with the whole neighbourhood, who were so excited for them.

How will they celebrate the big win?

Davey and Robertson plan to celebrate together with champagne and a steak dinner.

“It feels great to win,” Robertson added.

All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize. The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners’ name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize.
