What would you do with half a million dollars?

A Vancouver woman says she plans to buy a new home for her and her family after she won $500,000 on the Daily Grand draw on July 1.

Irma Serrano matched all four "Extra" numbers in the Daily Grand draw after she purchased the winning ticket on PlayNow.com.; she says she was "stunned" when she discovered her win.

“I went to PlayNow.com and saw the balance there,” says Serrano. “I couldn’t believe it. I screamed and then my daughter came to me asking what was happening. When I told her I won, I said now we can buy a condo.”

Serrano was first notified through an e-mail that she had won a prize on PlayNow.com.

“I always win with the Extra, but usually it’s only one dollar,” she explains. “So when I saw the e-mail, I wasn’t expecting that much.”

While her daughter was first to know about her win, Serrano says she told "everybody" the good news. After she told her daughter, her husband, son, her son's girlfriend and her friends were next to know about her big win.

What's next for the Vancouver winner?

Serrano will visit a local restaurant to throw a "fantastic celebratory dinner" to commemorate the win.
