Man arrested in connection with coffee-throwing incident at Langford Tim Hortons

The case began Jan. 12 when a man was denied service at the Tim Hortons on Goldstream Avenue in Langford.

A suspect was arrested Monday in connection with a coffee-throwing incident at a Langford Tim Hortons. 

The case played out over two days, starting Jan. 12 when a man was denied service for refusing to wear a mask and being belligerent with staff. 

He returned the next day and walked inside with a cup of coffee purchased at the drive-thru. When was told he was again being denied service because of the previous incident, he is alleged to have thrown the coffee at a staff member. 

The worker was not physically hurt.

On Jan. 21, RCMP released two images of the suspect taken from surveillance footage.

West Shore RCMP made the arrest Jan. 24 with assistance from Saanich police. 

The man is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
