LADNER, B.C. — Police in Delta are calling the death of a woman "suspicious" after her body was found at a home in Metro Vancouver.

They say officers were dispatched Monday just after 5 p.m. to a residence on 47A Avenue in Ladner.

Police say the call involved a "suspicious circumstance" around a woman's death, but did not elaborate on what they found.

Detectives say the woman's death is unrelated to the ongoing gang conflict in British Columbia.

Police also say they believe there is no risk to the public.

Investigators remain at the scene, and police say further details will be released as they become available.
