B.C.'s Minister of Finance will be at a board of trade event in Burnaby this Friday

B.C.’s Minister of Finance Carole James will be in the city this week for a special breakfast event hosted by the Burnaby Board of Trade.

“Engage with the minister with your own questions on the issues that matter to you, your business, and your community,” notes a press release.

James’ portfolio includes the new Employer Health Tax, the speculation tax, housing affordability and balancing the provincial budget.

The event is on Friday, March 1 and runs from 7:45 to 10 a.m. Tickets include breakfast, which is open from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m., and James will make a presentation and answer questions from 8 to 10 a.m.

Tickets for board of trade members are $45 or $265 for a table of six, while non-members can get tickets for $90 or $530 for a table of six. Call 604-412-0100 to buy tickets.
