A Burnaby-based restaurant chain raised $5,000 for the B.C. SPCA, with $1 from every sale of the Wings house beer going toward the animal rights group.

Throughout June, money was being raised through the sales of the Fiji Blond beer at 10 Wings restaurants throughout B.C., including in its hometown of Burnaby, with the restaurant chain’s Pints for Paws fundraiser.

The chain raised $4,000 last summer, and set the new bar at $5,000, a figure they hit before the month’s end.
