Vegetarians, rejoice! There’ll soon be a breakfast sandwich that includes more than just egg and cheese.
Following on the heels of last year’s ultra-successful Beyond Meat burger, A&W is introducing a brand new breakfast option: the Beyond Meat sausage and egger.
The new, permanent breakfast item will be available starting March 11 in Burnaby and across Canada.
Like the Beyond Meat burger, the Beyond Meat sausage patty is 100 per cent plant-based. The Beyond Meat sausage and egger comes on an English muffin with a fresh egg and a slice of cheddar cheese (the sandwich is not vegan).
“We think it tastes just like A&W’s classic sausage and egger; most people have no idea that the sausage is made entirely from plants,” notes a press release.
There are seven A&W locations in Burnaby, including Brentwood Town Centre, 4567 Lougheed Hwy.; Metropolis at Metrotown, 4820 Kingsway; Metrotown SkyTrain station, 4700 Kingsway; 6535 Kingsway; 4605 Hastings St.; Lougheed Town Centre, 9855 Austin Ave.; and UniverCity, 9055 University High St.
