The Toys"R"Us in Burnaby donated thousands of toys to kids in need

Burnaby’s only Toys“R”Us store helped collect thousands of toys for kids across the country recently.

The local store, located at Metropolis at Metrotown, was one of many across Canada that took part in the Salvation Army’s annual toy drive. In all, more than 700,000 toys were collected for kids across the country, according to a press release.

The Burnaby store donated an estimate 8,100 toys to the local toy drive.

The Salvation Army will take all the donated toys and deliver them to kids and families in need just in time for Christmas.
