Have young readers in the house?

Bring them out to the Burnaby Public Library’s Tommy Douglas branch on Sunday, Oct. 28 to discover four new offerings from British Columbian authors.

Four authors will present stories about facing adversity, finding courage and growing up. Audience members will hear from Sara Cassidy’s The Great Googlini (Orca Book Publishers), Norma Charles’ Tree Musketeers (Ronsdale Press), Cynthia Nugent’s Kiddo (Tradewind Books) and Ellen Schwartz’s The Princess Dolls (Tradewind Books).

The session, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m., is presented by Read Local B.C., a project of the Association of Book Publishers of B.C., in partnership with Burnaby Public Library.

It will be hosted by Sara Cassidy, with on-site book sales by Iron Dog Books.

The event is recommended for kids aged six and up (with adults).

Tommy Douglas library is at 7311 Kingsway. The session is free to attend, but space is limited. See www.bpl.bc.ca/events for details.
