Greens elect one school trustee, BCA elects six

The Burnaby Citizens Association has had its monopoly on school board broken Saturday as the Burnaby Green Party elected one member.

The BCA elected six members of its slate – two incumbents and BCA newcomers Jen Yang Mezei, Ryan Stewart, Bill Brassington and Peter Cech

But according to the City of Burnaby website, with all polls reporting, the Burnaby Green Party’s Christine Cunningham looks to have captured sixth spot.

Anti-SOGI 123 advocate Laura-Lynn Thompson also failed to gain a spot on school board.
