Love gospel music? Love to sing?

The renowned Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir is holding open auditions for singers in all voice parts. Auditions will be held, by appointment on May 27 and June 3 at Christ Church Cathedral.

Singers who have experience singing in any musical style and in any kind of community, school or church choir are invited to audition. The choir currently has room in all sections but is especially seeking tenors and baritones/basses, according to a press release.

The choir, which is some 90 voices strong, includes a wide range of singers, from recent high school grads and university students to professionals in all walks of life. It’s open to anyone who loves to sing gospel music in particular, and a variety of popular music styles in general.

Under the artistic direction of Gail Suderman, the choir has been called on to sing for iconic performers such as Barbra Streisand, David Foster, Josh Groban and Holly Cole, and it has been featured on the nationally televised program Gospel To Go on Vision TV.

Local guest artists with the choir have included Jim Byrnes, Dee Daniels, Warren Dean Flandez, Maureen Washington and Dawn Pemberton.

Singers hail from across the Lower Mainland, and the choir is in residence at Christ Church Cathedral (690 Burrard St., Vancouver).
