Two Burnaby teams have just received $10,000 to produce new music videos, thanks to the 2018 TELUS STORYHIVE music video edition.

One of the local winners is Coast Kid, a.k.a. Coltin Antypovich, for his song Give In, about his experiences in a long-distance relationship and relying on technology as the only means of communication. Carlos Alberto Oceguera Sierra will be the video lead for the project.

The other local winner is Hope, from the Indigenous hip hop duo Status Krew, for the song Red Man, which looks at Hope’s experiences as an Indigenous man living in modern society and on the colonized land of his own ancestors. Video lead is Diana Hellson, a.k.a. Mamarudegyal MTHC.

The videos will be available in the summer of 2019 on TELUS Optik TV On Demand and on the STORYHIVE website.
