Goodbye, rain: Vancouver forecast calling for sunshine the rest of the week

The Lower Mainland enjoyed a warm, sunny Easter long weekend, but woke up to heavy rainfall on Monday, April 22. However, the Metro Vancouver weather forecast calls for bright sunshine throughout the rest of the week.

Monday’s forecast calls for 10 to 20 mm of rainfall throughout the day followed by 5 mm of rainfall overnight. Following this, Tuesday’s forecast calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers in the morning with clear skies in the evening.

The forecast calls for bright sunshine and warm temperatures on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. What’s more, the weekend forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday and Sunday.

Environment Canada has also stated that the presence of a weak El Niño will affect temperatures heading into summer. As such, the department expects that the province will see above average temperatures this summer.
