The young dancer in your household can find some fun at SFU this summer.

Is there a young performer in your house looking for a summer pastime?

You may want to check out the summer camp offerings at Simon Fraser University.

As always, SFU is offering a wide range of camps on a host of themes – adventure, aquatics, education, sports and recreation. Among them are a couple specifically for the performance-minded child in your household.

Kids aged eight to 13 can take part in Dance Camp (running Aug. 6 to 16) or Glee Camp (running July 8 to 19 and July 22 to Aug. 2).

Dance Camp gives dancers of all experience levels a chance to try their hand (or is that their feet?) at a variety of dance styles – ballet, jazz, hip hop and others. They’ll also help with choreography and learn about stage management and prop and costume design, working towards creating a final production for family members.

At Glee Camp, campers learn melodies, harmonies, routines, stage management and costume design, working together to create a final production for their families at the end of the camp.
