The Deer Lake Gallery is hosting an exhibition of work by the Burnaby Photographic Society in connection with the 2019 Capture Photography Festival in April.

The festival runs throughout the month at venues around the Vancouver area, and the Burnaby exhibition is on from April 11 to May 4.

The theme of the exhibition will be Transition, “defined as a movement, development or evolution from one form, stage or style to another,” a write-up about the show says.

The Burnaby Photographic Society has been in existence since 1970, including hobbyists and professionals who work in all forms and with all types of equipment – DSLR or point-and-shoot cameras, smartphones, and even film and darkroom development.

An artist talk will be held on Saturday, April 13 by Grant Withers, a professional photographer, highlighting his work.

Deer Lake Gallery is at 6584 Deer Lake Ave. See www.burnabyartscouncil.com for more.
