VSO Traditional Christmas

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is returning to Burnaby with its seasonal favourite concert, A Traditional Christmas.

WHERE AND WHEN?

It’s on at Michael J. Fox Theatre, 7373 MacPherson Ave., on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

WHY SHOULD I GO?

The VSO’s Traditional Christmas has become one of the most beloved events on the holiday calendar in the Lower Mainland – and for good reason. The concert celebrates everything we love about Christmas, with familiar festive music, carols and sing-alongs. The orchestra is joined by special guests including the UBC Opera Ensemble and EnChor choir, under the direction of Morna Edmundson. Christopher Gaze (of Bard on the Beach fame) serves as host, and the orchestra is conducted by William Rowson for the occasion.

SO YOU’D LOVE TO GO BUT YOU’RE NOT FREE THAT DAY …

If the Burnaby date doesn’t work for you, never fear: the concert makes its way around the Lower Mainland starting Dec. 12 at South Delta Baptist Church. You can catch it Dec. 13 at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver, Dec. 4 at North Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre, Dec. 15 at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey, and Dec. 20 through 22 at St. Andrew’s Wesley Church in Vancouver.

TICKETS:

Tickets are $43 regular, or $37 for seniors, students and children. Purchase through www.vancouversymphony.ca. (Tip: This concert is always highly popular, so it won’t hurt to buy your tickets well in advance.)
