Music lovers, be sure to check out the Shadbolt Centre’s Sound Bites concert series in the new year.

The monthly series offers up Tuesday afternoon performances, complete with refreshments, in the Shadbolt’s Studio Theatre, with concerts at noon and 2 p.m.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, you can enjoy the instrumental folk sounds of Portiia, a Vancouver-based band that aims to bridge the gap between traditional North American folk and contemporary music.

Then, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, you can check out a performance by Paul Pigat, a roots-swing-rockabilly guitarist and songwriter.

Tickets for Sound Bites concerts are only $5 in advance (buy through tickets.shadboltcentre.com or call 604-205-3000), or $10 at the door.
