Love words? Be sure to turn out for the next Spoken Ink night at Deer Lake Gallery.

The Burnaby Writers’ Society hosts the reading nights on the third Tuesday of each month, and the next one is coming up Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.

The reading nights include two featured readers and an open mic session.

The month’s readers are Jacqueline Turner, a lecturer at Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the author of The Ends of the Earth, and Natasha Boškić, who writes poetry and personal narratives and experiments with different media.

The Burnaby Writers’ Society also holds a critiquing workshop at the gallery prior to the readings, from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. You’re welcome to attend one or both portions of the event.

Deer Lake Gallery is at 6584 Deer Lake Ave. For more details about Spoken Ink nights, see www.burnabywritersnews.blogspot.com or email bwscafe@gmail.com.
