Still undecided about who to vote for in the Burnaby South federal byelection?

Voters will have another chance to see candidates together in one room – giving their stances on the issues.

A community townhall has been set for this Tuesday, Feb. 19, with candidates invited to discuss a variety of topics.

On the agenda will be these questions:

What is the right approach to addressing the need for affordable housing?

How do we create the jobs that will enable us to build strong, prosperous communities?

How can we make our communities safer and more sustainable?

Jason D’Souza, Host on CBC Radio One, will moderate the townhall. The event takes place at the Ismaili Centre, 4010 Canada Way, with doors opening at 8:15 p.m. and things getting started at 8:30 p.m. An organizer told the NOW that the start time is late due to the campaigning schedules of the candidates.

“With less than a week to go before the Burnaby-South byelection, voters in the riding will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates on issues that will shape the future of Burnaby and other communities in the Lower Mainland,” said a news release.
