Tevain Lloyd, commonly known as "Gucci," is a 28-year-old man wanted by police.

Mounties in Surrey, B.C. are asking for the public’s assistance to keep an eye out for a man on the lam, who they consider armed and dangerous.

Tevain Lloyd, commonly known as “Gucci,” is a 28-year-old Black man, 6’3” tall and weighs about 335 pounds, according to Surrey RCMP. Police say Lloyd has black hair and brown eyes and a tattoo on his right hand that reads: “Who god bless no man can curse.”

Lloyd is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for criminal charges, including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, and using a firearm in the commission of an indictable offence.

“If you see Tevain Lloyd call 911 immediately and do not approach him. He is considered armed and dangerous,” said Surrey RCMP spokesperson Vanessa Munn in a statement.

Lloyd is alleged to have shot another man in the 13900-block Laurel Drive in Surrey on Dec. 30, 2021. The victim, believed by police to be known to Lloyd at the time, was said to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation that identified Lloyd as the alleged suspect, Surrey RCMP had charges approved in March and a warrant was put out for his arrest. Lloyd was located and arrested in the 100-block Alexander Street in Vancouver on April 19. He was released from jail on April 27, on conditions by the court, including to appear back in court on Aug. 4.

Police say Lloyd failed to appear in court Aug. 4, prompting a new Canada-wide warrant.

Despite the alleged threat to the public, Munn told Glacier Media police have pursued “other investigation avenues” to locate Lloyd up until today, when a call to the public was released.

“At this point in time we feel the public could be of assistance,” said Munn, adding Lloyd was quickly located during his first warrant.

Lloyd was last known to reside in Vancouver; during the time of the alleged shooting, he lived in Surrey, said Munn.

Anyone with information about Lloyd's whereabouts is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
