Beer and patio enjoyers will have a new reason to gather in the Central Lonsdale area of North Vancouver.
Burnaby-based brewery Steamworks has announced plans to launch a restaurant and taproom location at a new rental development on 21st Street off Lonsdale Avenue, across the street from London Drugs.
Once opened, the location will host 280 seats, 140 inside and another 140 outside on a 1,900-square-foot patio, according to a statement.
The site is currently under construction as part of the Lonsdale Square development.
The new Steamworks taproom will feature 20 house taps, 10 guest taps and a “diverse” menu that includes plant-based options.
This would be the third satellite location for Steamworks, following their flagship brew pub in Gastown and their Mount Pleasant location on Main Street in Vancouver.
The North Vancouver location is expected to open in early fall 2024, a spokesperson said.
