Roughly 1,200 people showed up for the Lower Mainland's largest beer festival, held at Burnaby's Swangard Stadium on July 14.
The seven-hour festival featured more than 100 different kinds of beer from around the world.
"The venue was great, there was a nice breeze flowing across the field, which helped with the sun," said organizer Rick Mohabir. "The stadium staff did an amazing job helping us get through the day with minimal issues."
Some of the festival highlights included DJ Tyler Mulder, El Grupo Cubano, and the Vancouver Theatre Sports League, who kept the crowd laughing throughout the day. Mohabir said most patrons that he talked to were happy with the selection of brewers onsite.
"With a new venue, it is always hard to judge compared to previous years. I was happy with the turnout, and it can only get better from here as Swangard will be the new home for the Canada Cup of Beer," Mohabir said.
