The Burnaby Hospital Foundation is getting a little help this holiday season from a fundraising effort at Brentwood Town Centre.

Until Dec. 24, shoppers can purchase a filigree candle holder from the shopping centre's customer service desk, or at the Giving Tree display.

Proceeds will go to Burnaby Hospital's highest priority equipment needs.

"Brentwood Town Centre has been part of this community for over 50 years, and we are happy to support Burnaby Hospital as it plays such an important role in our community," said Jolanda Peters, Marketing Director for Brentwood Town Centre, in a recent press release.

So far, the campaign has raised about $800, with a $4,000 goal.

"We are sincerely grateful to Brentwood Town Centre and all of its mall patrons for supporting Burnaby Hospital with this heartfelt fundraiser," said Rahim Rajan, Chair of Burnaby Hospital Foundation, in the release. "The funds raised will benefit thousands of patients who visit Burnaby Hospital each year, and truly helps us celebrate 60 years of caring for our community."

Candle holders come in two sizes: small for regular $8 and large for $20, but are now on sale at 50 per cent off.
